Dhruvika woke up to an empty space beside her, assuming Ranveer had already left. She let out a gentle sigh and got out of bed, making her way to the door. But as she stepped out, she was taken aback by the sight of Ranveer standing in the kitchen, expertly cutting fruits.

A bright smile spread across her face as she greeted him, "Good morning!" Her eyes sparkled with curiosity as she peeked at the array of fruits he was preparing.

She smiled and thought to get fresh quickly so they can have breakfast together.

Ranveer's gaze, however, was elsewhere. His eyes kept drifting towards Dhruvika's tattoo, his mind consumed by thoughts he couldn't quite shake off. He realized he hadn't responded to her greeting and felt a sudden surge of anxiety. He gulped, his eyes darting towards Gerv, who was heading towards the room. Finally, he managed to stammer out a reply,

"Good morning."

Dhruvika's heart skipped a beat. It was the first time Ranveer had responded to her, and she couldn't help but feel a rush of happiness. She turned to him, her smile radiant, and replied,

"Good morning, Veer... let me get fresh, and then we can have breakfast together."

That morning, Dhruvika and Ranveer shared a breakfast together, marking a new beginning in their relationship.

Ranveer's transformation was a gradual one, with changes slowly but surely making their way into his life.

As the days went by, significant improvements became apparent in Ranveer..

He had stopped avoiding Dhruvika, and now responded to her greetings, a small but significant step towards healing their relationship.

When he was at home, Ranveer would often accompany Dhruvika to the kitchen, where he would assist her in various ways despite not knowing how to cook himself. He would hand her utensils, stir the curry, flip the rotis, and help with other tasks, his presence a welcome companion to her cooking routine.

Ranveer had begun to accompany Dhruvika on her shopping trips, a gesture that brought a smile to her face. As they strolled through the aisles, he would dutifully push the cart, collecting the items she selected.

He realised she wanted him to pay half so he was paying.

Dhruvika had noticed that he was using a separate ATM card to make these payments, but she hadn't had a chance to ask him about it.

He is  now letting her put arm on him while sleeping without any shock.

Additionally, he had taken on the routine of dropping her off at the office nearly every day and picking her up afterwards.

Most importantly, a significant shift occurred in Ranveer's work-life balance. He began to spend slightly less time in the office, serving the royal family. His new schedule allowed him to leave for work at 6 am and return home by 8 pm, a notable improvement from his previous round-the-clock availability.

Although his work hours remained long, but this is enough improvement in just few weeks considering he used to serve them full 24 hours.

And did I told you Ranveer had recently developed the ability to deceive, not expertly, but enough to fool the royal family. Today was a prime example.

As the staff prepared to leave for their half-day off, Ranveer packed his belongings, happy to spend time with Dhruvika. However, just as he was about to leave, Avyan approached him, his face a picture of curiosity. "You're off somewhere, Ronny?" he asked, his tone laced with skepticism.

Ranveer hesitated, unsure of how to respond. He felt that spending time with his wife was undeserving for him, but he likes her company. Fearing the Avyan 's reaction, he lied, "Actually, I'm heading to the site to work on the project sir assigned me."

Avyan nodded, accepting the explanation, while Ranveer knew he had already visited the site. His lie had been convincing enough, but he couldn't shake off the feeling of guilt.

He drove towards his home with slightly guilty...he is doing right.. right?

But as he reached home he quickly entered inside but the backdoor is locked.

He remembered Dhruvika told him she wasn't going to office.

He dialled her number but she didn't pick up.

Then he dialled Harsh number but he replied that Dhruvika didn't went.

He was tense. Where she went. The backdoor is locked means she went somewhere...but the car is here..

That time only he heard footsteps and turned only to find his wife was coming

She was holding sone corn and a  sunflower is put in her ear.

As her eyes fell on him she smiled brightly and run towards him

"Veer" she called him but Ranveer was tence

"Where were you?" He asked in frown

"Oo I went towards the uncle aunty" she pointed towards the village which was little away from their home..

"And see I brought these..I will make make butta" she saw him corn.

They went inside but Dhruvika spoke " Why are you here early?'

"Actually we got a half day leave "

"They give you leave " Dhruvika spoke focusing more on you.

Ranveer also noticed. He never thought but it's true why he never got any leave?

But Dhruvika quickly diverted the topic

"Btw you are already here let's go to the mela.... aunty was saying it's a big mela in their village and there are many things " she spoke excitedly her hand were already holding his.

Ranveer put the coat on chair before looking at her

"You want to go to mela?" Dhruvika nodded vigorously..

'ok we will go at evening "

"Really " she asked in excitement

He nodded only to get breath hitched as she hugged him. And didn't broke hug until he very hasitatly and loosely hugged her.

The vibrant lights of the mela illuminated Dhruvika's face, highlighting her infectious excitement as she dragged Ranveer through the crowded fairgrounds. She wore a stunning sky-blue salwar kameez adorned with intricate silver embroidery, paired with a matching dupatta draped elegantly around her neck and over her shoulder. Her long hair cascaded down her back in loose braid, dancing slightly with each step.

Ranveer watched, mesmerized, as Dhruvika embodied pure joy – a stark contrast to her usual poised demeanor. This billionaire heiress, born with luxury, was carefree amidst the mela's humble charms.

"Veer kachori" she exclaimed pointing towards the stall. She hold his hand before dragging towards the stall.

The stall was crowded so he spoke "you stay here I am bringing" she nodded, too exited.

He was about to go but stopped then looked at her"don't go anywhere"

She nodded obediently.

"Ek plate dijiyega" Ranveer spoke to the men and then took the plate then payed 30 rupees for it.

He quickly went towards her and foreward the plate. She took it excitedly and took the bite and spoke "wow it's so tasty" but Ranveer focus was somewhere else, he noticed how people are going pushing her shoulder slightly so he quickly went at her side, covering her. His bodyguard mode was on.

But then Dhruvika foreward a bite towards him. His eyes which were roaming like a robot, soften slightly without even his knowledge and he spoke "you ea-" but Dhruvika stiffed the kachori in his mouth .

As they strolled further into the mela, the enticing aroma of freshly made bhel puri led them to another stall. Dhruvika sampled the spicy snack while Ranveer watched, his eyes occasionally scanning their surroundings.

After finishing her snack and feeding Ranveer a few bites, Dhruvika turned around, her gaze scanning the vibrant surroundings.

Her eyes landed on a colorful game stall nearby, and the bold letters above it caught her attention: "Blast the Balloon." Her face lit up with excitement, and she grasped Ranveer's hand, pulling him towards the stall.

"Veer, look! We have to play this!"

she exclaimed, her voice filled with enthusiasm. Ranveer followed her, his expression serious, but his eyes watching her with interest. The objective of the game was simple: burst the balloons by throwing darts to win prizes. Dhruvika clapped her hands, already imagining victory.

The stall owner greeted them with a wide smile, his eyes shining with excitement.

"Welcome, sir and madam! Six darts for 50 rupees. Burst three balloons, win big prizes!" he announced, holding up a few stuffed toys as examples. Dhruvika's eyes widened as she took in the prizes, her determination to win growing.

Dhruvika took the darts and aimed, her brow furrowed in concentration. She threw the first dart, but it missed the balloon by a wide margin. Undeterred, she tried again, but the second dart also missed its mark. Ranveer watched her, his expression neutral, but his eyes never leaving her face.

Dhruvika tried again, but the third dart also failed to burst the balloon. It was her last three chances. If she missed, she wouldn't win the prize. She bit her lip, her wide eyes filled with determination.

Ranveer could sense her frustration and remembered a small child of an employee in  office, who was trying to climb up a chair. The child's expression was identical to his wife's - adorable.

What?

Since when did he start having these kinds of thoughts?

Ranveer shook his head, clearing the distraction. He moved behind Dhruvika, holding her hand in his. Together, they threw the dart, and it blasted a balloon. The shopkeeper handed Dhruvika a stuffed toy, and she smiled, her eyes shining with delight.

Ranveer's expression remained serious, but his eyes softened slightly as he looked at Dhruvika's happy face. He felt a strange sense of satisfaction, knowing he had helped her win the prize. Dhruvika hugged the stuffed toy tightly, her face still flushed with excitement. "Thank you, Veer!" she exclaimed.

They went inside more. There are many people. Many stall. Ranveer was holding her stuffed toy as she was already handling her too loose dress and too long dupatta which was continuously falling from her shoulder.

Just as Dhruvika spotted the "Lakh Bangle Store" sign, she started to drift towards it alone – but Ranveer's quick reflexes caught her hand, his brow furrowed in concern:

"Where are you going?"

She pointed towards the stall:

"Bangle..."

His grip on her hand tightened slightly as he cautioned:

"Don't leave my hand."

The unspoken worry behind his words was clear – amidst this massive crowd, losing her was a palpable risk.

She nodded and hold his hand but this time intertwining.

She dragged him the stall.

The woman smiled seeing the couple .

"Chudiya banbane hei" she asked in Rajastani accent

Dhruvika nodded.

"Konsi rang ki banbani hai"

This time Dhruvika couldn't understand as she was speaking so speadly with her accent.

But Ranveer spoke "She was asking you the colour?"

Dhruvika smiled and choose one.

After that she made her wear them

Dhruvika  looked at her husband who was looking arround like any moment any enemy will come

"Veer" she asked getting his attention

"How is it looking?" She asked making him saw her new bangles

Ranveer's eyes softened slightly as he nodded, and Dhruvika's smile widened in response. After paying for the bangles, they continued on their way, hands still intertwined.

Dhruvika's gaze landed on a golla shop, and she excitedly pulled Ranveer towards it.

As they walked, Dhruvika's dupatta got tangled around her feet, causing her to stumble. Ranveer quickly reacted, catching her by put hand on her stomach to prevent her from falling. Dhruvika's face scrunched in irritation  as she adjusted her dupatta, she was too exited to come here with Ranveer that she forgot to pin it.

Ranveer, however, had a different solution in mind. "Remove it," he said, his voice firm but gentle. Dhruvika looked up at him, frowning in confusion. "What?" she asked, her brow furrowed.

Ranveer's gaze narrowed, his eyes seeming to scold the dupatta itself. "It's too big and long," he explained.

Dhruvika glanced around, aware that they were in a village where almost all people are wearing traditional rajasthani dresses . "But what will people think?" she asked, her voice tinged with concern.

Ranveer's expression turned daring, his eyes scanning the surrounding crowd as if challenging anyone to question his wife's choices.

"Who will?" he asked, his voice low and confident. Dhruvika hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Okay."

She removed the dupatta, and Ranveer took it from her, folding it haphazardly to hold onto it. Now free from the cumbersome fabric, Dhruvika sighed in relief and continued towards the golla stall, her hand still clasped in Ranveer's. His other hand held the carry bag containing the stuffed toy and her discarded dupatta.

As they wandered through the mela, Dhruvika's enthusiasm was infectious. She tried various foods, feeding Ranveer a few bites, and bought numerous items, ranging from household goods to small jewelry pieces.

At one stall, Dhruvika pointed to a beautiful window screen and asked Ranveer to inquire about the price. As per her order, Ranveer asked the shopkeeper,

"How much is this?" The shopkeeper replied,

"400." Ranveer was about to translate the price for Dhruvika, but she had already understood.

"Charsooooo!" she exclaimed in horror, her eyes fixed on the price tag. Ranveer was taken aback, unsure of how to respond. Dhruvika turned to him and instructed,

"Tell him 400 is too much... I recently bought one for 300." Ranveer hesitated, feeling a bit out of his comfort zone. Bargaining was not his forte, but he didn't want to disappoint Dhruvika.

With some trepidation, Ranveer asked the shopkeeper if the price could be reduced to 300. To his surprise, the shopkeeper agreed quickly. Ranveer purchased the window screens, and they decided to put their purchases in the car before continuing their exploration.

As they walked back to the car, laden with bags and packages, Dhruvika exclaimed,

"We should put them in the car first." Ranveer nodded in agreement, and they loaded their purchases into the vehicle.

After storing their belongings, they returned to the mela, and Dhruvika continued her shopping spree. She sampled various foods, laughing .

As it began to late, Dhruvika's face fell as they approached the ride she had been eagerly waiting for, only to find it closed. Her disappointment was palpable, but Ranveer quickly intervened, offering a solution. "We can come back tomorrow," he suggested, his voice gentle.

Dhruvika's sadness slowly lifted as they continued to explore the mela. They stopped to watch a group of ladies performing a traditional Rajasthani folk dance at the end area of the mela. The music was infectious, and Dhruvika clapped along, her movements in perfect rhythm. Ranveer's eyes softened as he watched her, her mood gradually improving.

As the performance drew to a close, one of the dancers approached Dhruvika and took her hand, pulling her into the circle. Dhruvika glanced back at Ranveer, who nodded encouragingly. The dancers draped a dupatta over her head, and she was swept up in the joyous energy of the performance.

As she danced, spinning to the rhythm of the music, Ranveer was captivated by her carefree spirit. Her smile illuminated the entire atmosphere, and he couldn't help but feel drawn to her joy. His eyes remained fixed on her, mesmerized by the way she moved with abandon.

She was radiant, her beauty shining brighter than the twinkling lights of the mela. Ranveer's heart swelled with emotion as he watched her, his thoughts echoing a single phrase:

She is just..... mesmerizing.
